Subject: Condolence for Yoram
Dear Dr. Serdev,
I never expected to receive such sad news from you. There is no knowing
what may happen to us the next moment. Attached please find the condolence
for
my best friend and a great researcher. I very much appreciate your effort
for
publishing Dr. Fintsi's works. Please take good care of yourself.
Sincerely,
Katsuya Takasu, M.D.
Letter
to the Other Side of My Body
December
25, 2001
Dear Yoram,
You have
been a really good fellow. I admired not only your excellent academic
experience but also your great sense of humor, which always gave a perfect
remedy for my mental and physical ills.
Yoram, my
closest friend was also my dermatologist as well as the other side of
my body. In 1999, you gave a live workshop of Exoderm to my wife, me being
the patient. Thanks to your kind instruction, my wife had the honor to
be the first Japanese Exoderm specialist. On the other hand, I became
the first Japanese Exoderm patient. Since then, Yoram and Exoderm have
appeared in all of our scientific presentations. At the same time, I,
in the form of pre and postoperative views, have appeared in your presentation
as one of your happy Exoderm patients. In a nutshell, at most of the academic
conferences for the last few years, Yoram and I have been together just
like Siamese twins.
Now that
the other side of my body is gone, I have become quite unstable. I truly
do not know how to handle this deep sorrow for the loss of my brother.
Yoram, I
very much appreciate your great cooperation for the present boom of chemical
peel in Asia. We, Asians will always admire you as Father of Chemical
Peel. Especially in Japan and in China, Yoram Fintsi is a big-name. As
a matter of fact, I have planned a special Exoderm project in China to
please you in 2002.
Yoram, your
work of art will be alive as long as my life is on earth. My twin brother
will remain cheerful in my face. I will treasure my face as your memento
and accompany it to whatever conference I may attend in the future, until
I finally receive a call from the heaven.
Your twin
brother,
Katsuya Takasu, M.D.
